The Center for the Education and Study of Diverse Populations (CESDP) has three major programs for students: the GEAR UP/ ENLACE Collaborative, Northern New Mexico and Statewide ENLACE, and the EBS Youth Entrepreneurship Project. All three programs are coordinated in partnership with Santa Fe Community College, Northern New Mexico College in Española, and CESDP. The comprehensive goals of CESDP’s youth programming are to:
- increase student retention and success,
- enhance students career awareness and college readiness,
- create a cohort of student leaders,
- provide relevant and targeted professional development for educators, and
- provide support for parents as essential partners in education.
In 1996, teachers from Dolores Gonzales Elementary School organized the first La Cosecha Dual Language Conference with a mission to network and share best practices.
