A Look Back, A Step Forward

A Look Back, A Step Forward: Summer Reflections

As summer winds down and we all prepare to turn the page into a new school year, we at CESDP hope the past few months brought you space to rest, recharge, and reconnect with what inspires you most in your work. Our own summer flew by in a blur of planning, collaboration, and reflection—reminding us how much we value the moments when we can pause and take stock of where we’ve been.

This season, we were honored to be invited to share a bit about CESDP’s journey and current work through two very special opportunities. Both invitations arrived just as the 2024–25 school year was wrapping up, and they gave us a unique chance to reflect on the legacy, growth, and impact of this one-of-a-kind organization.

We’re excited to share the results with you:

  • Podcast Feature on Language Goes to School (Apple, Spotify, Buzzsprout)
In this episode, we dive into some of the history and heart behind CESDP, exploring how our work has evolved alongside the ever-changing needs of New Mexico’s educators and communities.
  • Radio Interview on KUNM’s Espejos de Atzlán
This conversation shines a light on one of our current projects, highlighting the ways CESDP continues to serve as a bridge for culturally and linguistically responsive education.

Together, these recordings celebrate more than three decades of collaborative leadership and dedication to equity in education. We’re grateful to our partners, supporters, and the many educators who have shaped CESDP’s path—and we hope you’ll take a moment to listen in and reflect with us.

Here’s to a strong start to the 2025–26 school year. We’re proud to be on this journey with you.
