Lillian Gorman and Elena Valdez focused on the Spanish language of New Mexico, and the last was an effort at promoting our Drawing From the Well curriculum. If that wasn\u2019t enough, CESDP also hosted the ABE NM Student Leadership Institute where current graduate school students facilitated and mentored groups of middle and high school students to explore leadership practices, identify challenges in their communities, and create action plans as solutions to these challenges. We are happy to report that the student leaders and their adult sponsors left with smiles, hope, enthusiasm, and plans to effect positive change in their communities. To be honest, these students and educators remind us how blessed we are to do the work we do.
